Hi guys,
I know that I have not been on in forever! And well that is about to change! :)
I just moved and am starting, with the help of my amazing boyfriend, to sort out an office area for him to use for computer stuff and me for scrappy stuff! :)

Good Morning!
I was in a crafty mood this morning and started working on some mini albums that I started a few weeks back, when I realized that today is my cousin's bday! :)

This is the second mini album that I've ever made, it was a Christmas gift for one of my best friends... I'm going to try to get my other best buddy to let me borrow the album I made him (that was my first paper bag album).  There aren't many embellishments on this album, I made these before I bought any... let me know what you think :)

Cake for a Soldier!

Hey Guys,
Here is a cake I made for a friend today... he LOVED it!! It's a three layered red velvet cake (my secret recipe) with cream cheese frosting... and yup he's a soldier! :)

First YOUTUBE VIDEO!

Hello all... so i posted my very first video on my youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/alearte1) :)
Here it is, it's a haul video.  I went to Michael's today and went a little over board.  There was a huge sale - 30% off of paper pads and I had a one day only coupon for 20% off everything including sale items... so i bought tons of sale items for a super great deal!  I'll be dedicating more time to my blog... I hope to have some followers soon :)

Merry Christmas Cards

Hello All MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I wanted to show you some of the cards that I sold and gave a away this Christmas! Most of these cards sold out so quickly that I did not even get to put them up on my ETSY page (artesamor.etsy.com).  I have a lot more pics to upload coming soon....Please let me know what you think....
oh and I made my very first ever MINI SCRAP BOOK out of paper bags for my best friend! It came out so great! I didn't get a chance to make a video of it, but I'll be posting pictures of it soon!

Couples Retreat

I know this is a blog about card making... however earlier today I went to see an advanced screening of the new Vince Van film Couples Retreat and I have to say that it was an AMAZING film! (and Vince Van was in town on the red carpet in front of the theater!) The film balances comedy and drama to create a realistic portrayal of what life as a couple is really like (married, divorced, pregnant in high school got married and are now sick of each other....)  I highly recommend taking a break from your scrapping life to check out this flick!
